So I gave Amazon a 7-11am delivery window for yesterday for my new Switch controller I ordered on Friday, thinking they'd likely go for the latter half (the other option was 4-8am which was too early), but I missed it from not opening the door in time (because sleep)--after their vague and ominous "we will try again" message on the package tracking, I got up this morning around 7:30 and after checking with support they confirmed they'd try again today, 10am-12pm to be sure I got it... then there's a carrier delay but no big deal, was still here around 2 getting some editing done, so cool.
The deliveryperson left it at the wrong fucking address
Having been in retail before, I always like to give some benefit of the doubt that it might've been a bad day, but also... it's not hard to read the shipping label and make sure you're at the right address before dropping a thing off???
Had to get refunded and reorder since there was no way to tell which nearby building got it (maybe whoever's there will be nice enough to swing by and drop it off), but possible blessing in disguise since I wanted the anti-drift ones and I mistakenly ordered a regular one--but i liked the cosmic design on that one, and ordering them as anti-drift meant getting here in late Feb 😭 The anti-drift one on the right isn't bad either and it'd get here by Tuesday but

people don't pay attention 🤬
A customer needed their package quickly, but instead of paying for 1 or 2 day shipping, they got USPS Priority, which is a joke and seems to take 5 business days instead of the 2 days they say it will.
Besides that USPS doesn't have a money-back guarantee on Priority anymore. Not really.
Anyway the package was sent out over a week ago and still isn't there and the customer was mad because they paid a deposit to their artist and the package didn't get there in time.
I refunded her the whole thing even though I really shouldn't have because it's not my fault. USPS lost it days ago.
She emails me to say she's worried it still won't get there in time for the new appointment, so I suggest using UPS instead (because in my experience they've never been late on a delivery) and pay a little extra to get it there in 2 business days, especially with the holidays coming in a few days.
I told her we DO NOT guarantee delivery times. It's in 3 different places on our site too.
She orders again and gets USPS Priority. Expecting it to be there in 2 days despite a holiday in 2 days and we're coming into the weekend.
I email her and say we're definitely not refunding this time if it's not there in time and maybe she should switch to a different service.
She tells me that it was guaranteed last time so she's just going to go with USPS Priority again because it's guaranteed anyway.
These are the types of customers that don't get what they want and then leave bad feedback like it was my fault even though I don't control the mail carrying systems of the US and I actively try to help them avoid late packages by prompting them to get upgraded service.
In the last 2 years, Priority has taken as long as 45 days to get to customers. It hasn't gotten there in 2 business days in at least 2 years.
But sure ignore everything I say and then get mad at me and blame me for you missing your appointment.
We're not Amazon. We're not Walmart. Those are predatory businesses that are conditioning you guys to put all the blame on the business instead of the mail carrying services, and it's working.

HEY! Are you in the US??? Do you want to help the Striking Workers? Then slam order Amazon for the small things you have been waiting to buy. The moment that item is late because they don't have enough drivers, COMPLAIN!!! Especially if you have PRIME! Pick items that are going to be delivered on separate days, and make sure you select the shipping that won't allow them to bundle it in one and deliver it on the day the last item is available. Make them have to deliver every single piece separately. Make them feel it in the wallet. Sure, you are still giving them money, but now, your $20 purchase has to be handled by a 3rd party delivery company, and when you stuff is late, Amazon has to make it right, which means you either get a refund, or they have to pay extra to that 3rd party company to have it rush delivered. Make them feel how useless they are without their drivers and warehouse workers. If you stop ordering "To support the striking workers!" then, you aren't hurting Amazon at all. i feel like a shitty person
i ordered something online and it was late by around 1 or 2 weeks (unsure cause they had already changed the original delivery date) and i got my refund.. (fyi i messaged them about it they asked me to wait a bit longer, i said ok, then the next day they messaged me saying they were refunding) 1 week after i got my refund it came in the mail...
Its a glass dip pen
I wrote to them 2 days ago wondering if it was possible to reverse the refund cause i got the item.. no reply so far.
I feel really bad about it..

Ordered some stuff on Amazon on mid-late Nov that was supposed to arrive in late December, but after Dec 8 it stopped showing any movement. By the end of December, I considered it lost and ordered a replacement but still waited until the delivery period passed to inquire about it. So on mid January, I messaged the seller. They didn’t reply so I asked Amazon directly and they refunded me immediately.
Anyway, today, feb 2, over two months since i ordered it, the seller messaged me telling he was going to check it. Like, man, I already got my money and my product (from somewhere else).

Had a miserable experience with a new therapist who cancelled my appointment an hour beforehand because he promised two weeks ago to give me my gender confirmation surgery letter before our next session and I guess realizing that wasn't happening after leaving me in radio silence for 14 days, he decided to simply cut me off. Let down and recalling a number of prior scheduling issues we had, I tried to close my account on the website and found there was no way to cancel my therapy or pull my payment info off. A call to the companys official number sent me to some woman's cell phone voicebox. No call back.
A company marks an order as having being delivered to me before it was even shipped. Customer service openly lies about it and is only capable of replying to the first sentence in my email, ignoring my questions and screenshots showing the [ORDER COMPLETE] tag on my account. Requests for a refund are out and out ignored.
A subscription I get monthly for my anxiety is delayed for production reasons. After 3 and a half weeks of silence, I beg them for some sort of update. There is none. I go on their site and find them selling the same product, same type, same order as mine but in a second flavor. I ask why I wasnt given an option to swap out. Silence. I get my subscription a week later, a month late.
Places promise me 2-day shipping, big places, Target and Amazon, and I watch my packages get marked as "Out for delivery!!" until 3am when they get marked "Delayed". The packages show up unannounced a few days later on my doorstep.
My youtube feed is nothing but "this Twitter advertiser is scamming you", "this product doesnt exist", "a million dollars in ads for a fake knockoff". Its just like. Man. *Man*. Everything feels like a scam.

Wake up at 4:30 and have to decide whether I want to stay in bed and get more “rest” (quotes because I don’t rest I do barrel rolls all night) or have a moment to myself.

There must be a new USPS delivery person because lately packages are being marked as delivered to agent for delivery instead of delivered. The black eyelashes are here, but Amazon is offering me a refund because they weren’t marked as delivered by USPS.
I’m not going to take the refund and wish I could mark items as delivered via Amazon, but I understand why that’s not allowed (too easy to exploit by bad sellers).

Garden arches are tracking, now, but not showing up on Informed Delivery with that number which has me wondering if they put the wrong address on it.
There are TWO mystery packages on Informed Delivery; the one that showed up when the arches shipped, and a new one. Could be any number of things. A few different people have offered ponies as gifts, and there’s someone wanting their Nirvana (I forget which but she’s lost a little hair) worked on so it could be them, too.

DO NOT USE UPS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!
Do not use that useless courier service if at all possible! My Mom and I have been wasting two whole days being made to wait for UPS to supposedly collect a product that is nowhere near fit for purpose, on the behalf of Amazon, and it really has been a whole waste of time, energy, manpower, effort and everything else in between!
And another whole infuriating thing is that we cannot get a refund for this piece of garbage until Amazon have received their shitty product in their useless customer returns warehouse!
We had to use UPS before in 2017 for a Samsung phone screen that got damaged from a drop onto the concrete outside, and it was a nightmare then, and it sure as hell is a nightmare now! The experience was so bad, that I had actually blocked it out from memory, until yesterday!
I attempted to call the UPS customer services yesterday, and they first off were acting like they couldn't understand me properly, by adding numbers and letters to the tracking number that they wanted me to read out to them, and then, after all of those shenanigans, they then tried to tell me that the driver had already been to my house and it even falsely states on their tracking service that it was their final delivery attempt, and that the parcel was not ready at the time of them supposedly coming to the house, when they did no such thing, and the product in question had already been boxed up, sellotaped and placed in the porch ready the night previous, ready for handing over to the driver the next morning!
Amazon have not helped either, as they keep on insisting that we either use UPS, or choose another courier service ourselves, which is beyond reprehensible! Amazon even claimed that they would not only give us a refund of the useless product, but that they would also cover the costs of the postal charges, which we do not believe in the slightest, as Amazon had promised us £5 off of our next purchase due to a situation that occured with the beyond late delivery of previous product, and we haven't received this either, so we do not trust them to follow through with this in the slightest!
Avoid this horrible """"""""""service"""""""""" at all costs, both for your sanity and physical well-being!!

Another Update...
...that isn't really much of an update at all 🙃
The part I ordered that was "almost here" in my last post is actually never coming. I was refunded for it without telling me and I feel like screaming.
My computer broke February 13th. I ordered a part that came in 2 days but it didn't fit, so I returned it and ordered the correct part. That was on February 17th.
That part said it would arrive between March 9th....and March 29th. Which is the most absurd delivery window I've ever heard of, but still, patiently I waited.
The entirety of March passes. March 28th I get a message that the part will be here tomorrow! Tomorrow comes, no part. "Your package is running late" is the next message I get.
Finally it's April 5th. I check on my order and the status tells me it "may be lost!" and I want to cry.
Then this morning I get a notification that a return was completed in my bank account, and I go to Amazon to check on my part, and they just straight up refunded me for the part without my asking because it was actually never going to come at all.
At this point I can't find the part anywhere else for cheaper than half the cost of a new computer. So I'm just going to buy a whole new laptop. I'm exhausted and frustrated with this whole "adventure" and I'm desperately missing my Sims 😭.
Please bear with me a while longer. I know my "hiatus" is turning out to be longer than I anticipated (much, much, much longer), but I swear I'll be back as soon as I can. I miss this story so much, even if I'm the only one who ever cares about it 😂

DNA’S/ONLINE SCAMS MASTERPOST
nobody asked for this but im doing it anyway ✨
i will edit this as time goes on and i order from more places! feel free to message me with or reblog with your own experiences from different stores, this post will be my individual thoughts and experiences
this will not just focus on dna’s, its more like the best methods to use for different online stores. currently planning on either doing chewy, petco or petsmart next
AMAZON:
hella easy, usually theyll just give you a refund without question. stuff like food or stuff that can’t be repurposed can’t be returned at all so you don’t always have to file a dna, you can just say they were damaged and they’ll refund you in full. stuff like clothes, blankets, anything that can be washed and used by other people they’ll want you to return, though, so always do dnas for them. if you order something off of amazon fresh grocery delivery and say that the entire order was messed up, they might even double the amount you spent and refund it (THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED TO ME ONCE SO DON’T QUOTE ME IF IT DOESNT WORK). do not do this too often or they will lock/blacklist your account or address!
ALIEXPRESS:
hard to do dna’s on since theyll pretty much just tell you “sorry it says its delivered so it’s delivered whether or not you got it”. half of the time though things take WAY longer than their marked delivery date anyway so you can say that it hasnt arrived after that date and they’ll have to give you a refund, and your clothes will still probably arrive. particularly easy to scam though, make up some bullshit excuse about your outfit being torn or otherwise not as you expected and you’ll get refunded in a few days (especially if you provide picture evidence, just take something you already have of similar color or whatever and rip it a bit or just take a pic off google and alter it so it can’t be reverse searched). this is better to do on shops that are obviously automated and not individually ran, you can tell if they’re just another copy shop if you look up one of their products and the same thing is being sold at different places. do NOT do a dna with an independent shop as it’s essentially the same as lifting from a mom n pop or a depop/etsy store. you’re hurting actual people there.
WISH:
similar to aliexpress but a bit easier; if you don’t receive your order in a timely manner theyll actually ask you about it and you can say that you didnt get it. like aliexpress itll probably take longer than estimated for your things to arrive, so you can file for a refund and still get your stuff some time later. like before, you can tell if they’re a bot shop if you can find the exact same product at different places
DOORDASH:
you cant get your money back with doordash but they do give you refunds with dash credits, which is basically currency that pays for your order for you. i don’t do dna’s here often since it requires you to chat with cs (not that it matters, i just dont like talking to people — just say it was delivered to the wrong address or smth) but rather i complain abt the food (claim something was missing, something wasn’t made right etc) and i’ll still get money back. do this once every other order and not every single order or else they’ll stop giving you credits/only give you minimal credits. you can also possibly tell your driver to take their time with delivering, as late orders are an automatic 10$ back in credits no matter what. as far as i know this does not affect the driver if you don’t directly complain about them and give them a good rating, but obviously if your drivers an ass then complain about/rate them however you want. they will absolutely ban your account if you do it too often so be careful with it!
